"Air Freight Logistics


1.ATA/ATD (Actual Time of Arrival / Actual Time of Departure): Abbreviation for Actual Time of Arrival / Actual Time of Departure.


2. Air Waybill (AWB): A document issued by or in the name of the shipper, which is a proof of carriage of goods between the shipper and the carrier.


3. Unaccompanied baggage (Baggage, Unaccompanied): non-carry-on and checked baggage, checked baggage delivery.


4. Bonded warehouse (Bonded Warehouse): In this warehouse, or goods can be stored in the case of no deadline without paying import duties.


5. Bulk Cargo (Bulk Cargo): the end of the loaded pallets and loaded into the container of the bulk cargo.


6.CAO (Cargo for Freighter Only): Abbreviation of "Cargo for Freighter Only", which means it can only be carried by freighter.


7. Charges Collect: The charges to be made to the consignee as stated in the air waybill.


8. Prepaid freight (Charges Prepaid): in the air waybill listed on the shipper has paid the charges.


9. Chargeable Weight: The weight used to calculate the air freight charge. Chargeable weight can be either volumetric weight or, when the goods are loaded in a carrier, the total weight of the load minus the weight of the carrier.

Carriage and Receipt of Goods


1. CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freightage): means "Cost, Insurance and Freight, i.e. C&F plus seller's insurance against loss and damage to the goods. The seller must sign a contract with the insurance provider and pay the premium.


2. Consignee: The person whose name appears on the air waybill and who receives the goods shipped by the carrier.


3. Delivery of goods (Consignment): by the carrier at a certain time and place to receive the shipper one or more pieces of goods, and a single air waybill transported to a destination.


4. Consignor (Consignor): equivalent to the shipper.


5. Consolidated Consignment (Consolidated Consignment): consigned by two or more shippers into a batch of goods, each shipper has signed a contract of carriage by air with the consolidation agent.


6. Consolidator: A person or organisation that assembles goods into a consolidated shipment."
